Having now used IC for almost 3 years and having vetted other CLMs, I can say that IC is the one that is most comprehensive; it delivers a flawless CM process both during negotiation and post-execution. It integrates quite nicely with my org's ERP and GRC SaaS. I've also noticed less downtime/outages in the last few months, which is nice. The AI features are also awesome, especially for importing standalone records into the repository. I also appreciate the comprehensive documentation and learning resources.
Limitations
- Steep learning curve: Ironclad was built by legal experts for legal experts. It can be complex for non-legal users.
- Frequent product updates: The velocity of new releases makes the platform overwhelming. Recent updates have affected the Repository and Reporting functionalities.
- Expensive: Ironclad is priced for enterprise organizations, making it unsuitable for smaller organizations and budget-conscious buyers.
The business model seems to have shifted to more of a "self serve" by way of searching through Help Topics and Community Forums. I understand the theory behind this, however, these platforms are not structured in a way to be helpful for anything beyond basic questions. Until you have the right on line support in place to support more complex issues we still need to have an actual person to speak with. It would be helpful to have an actual customer support line for assistance.
Sometimes big changes can be a little frequent. There's also the problem of it doing SO much that it becomes hard to use all components.

- Underdeveloped AI: Users report that the AI requires heavy human intervention, falling short of expectations created by marketing.
- UX/UI issues: The platform is lacking in quality of life aspects, making it difficult to navigate and adopt.
They do not have an automatic way (read AI) to input metadata from executed contracts.
Reaching out to SD team to add a new template every time is one of the minus points.
The tech is just a bit clunky. It does just enough to get you from point A to point B but anytime there are deviations along the way, it takes a little longer than it should to figure out your next step.

I've been using LS for all things contracts, and everything has been smooth so far. I use LS to draft/create contracts, as well as sending them out to counterparties, sharing/receiving redlines, all the way to sending out for e-signatures. I also love the functionality that allows any user to use the template feature to create contracts easily, which saves previous time.
Limitations
- Expensive modular pricing: The costs of every add-on user and feature is expensive and inaccessible to smaller growing teams
- Inaccurate AI: AI tags upon import need to be entered manually corrected.
- Aggressive sales: Users report the sales team as “pushy” when it comes to upselling.
Main Issues or Weaknesses: To be honest, there really aren't any, but if I had to offer a few I would say they are:
1. Cost of adding bespoke Smart Tags/Fields
2. Cost of adding additional administrators vs standard users
3. Slightly pushy sakes team when it comes to upselling
The import of our data did not go well, AI did not pick up the correct date fields on many of the files making it hard to know when to reach out to our customers for updated information.

- No bulk processing: Given the robust automations, users find the lack of bulk processing disappointing.
- Complex integrations: Integrating with CRMs is complex and it does not connect with other tools like Google Drive and Adobe Sign very well.
Juro is for the type of client that has frequent, repetitive Order Forms, so for bespoke or highly detailed/bespoke contracts it is more difficult to automate.
I would like to have more granular access controls for certain users and processes and while this has gotten more extensive since I last used the platform it would be ideal to have more options e.g. negotiation can't be turned on by certain users.

The platform is super easy to navigate. I've never opened any tutorial or FAQ. All the actions are straightforward and intuitive. Great user experience.

- Broken workflows: Multiple acquisitions have upstaged the platform but created friction at every contracting step. It can improve on workflows, reviews, and reporting dashboards.
One of the most important problems is its cost structure, which can be expensive for small companies or individuals who do not require all the features or integrations that DocuSign offers.
What I dislike about DocuSign CLM is that its setup and customization can be complex and time-consuming, especially for teams without technical support.
DocuSign forces a service plan on you for a significant additional charge. Despite the hefty upcharge it's difficult to immediately get a response via email/chat from their service team.

Additionally, as we enter our 3rd year of using Agiloft we're building and using a historical record of our engagements, including negotiations and approvals.

It’s kinda complicated at first. There’s a ton of options, and figuring out how to set it up exactly how you want can be a bit of a headache, especially if you're new to it. Plus, the interface is not the prettiest. It works fine but feels kinda outdated, if you know what I mean.
When there are bugs that need to be addressed deeply, the customer service and admin teams are too slow to acknowledge them.
